QuickBooks Error 3371- An Introduction

When QuickBooks software is being installed in your system, error 3371 or QuickBooks error status code 11118 problem occurs. This problem may be caused by missing or damaged files or could not initialize license properties.

  • Use of an anti-virus program that quarantines some important files.

Resolving Error 3371:


  • Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Window otherwise it can be damaged the QuickBooks files. Update your Window.
  •  Rename the entitlement file (QB 2013)

  •  Click the Windows logo.
  • Select All Programs and click Windows Update.
  • After updating the Window, try to install QuickBooks.

2. Rename the entitlement file:


  • If QuickBooks is open, close it.
  • Open the entitlement data folder for your operating system.
  •  Press Windows and R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
  • Enter the following information, and then press Enter.
  • QuickBooks 2013 and Enterprise 13.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
  • Right-click the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and select Delete.
  • Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the file.
  • Open QuickBooks, and follow the instructions to register the application.

3. If your problem is not solved by above methods and you continue to receive the error, follow the following steps:


  • Re-create damaged EntitlementDataStore.ECML file to resolve license and registration issues.
  • Fix Microsoft.NET Framework, MSXML, and C++ issues using the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool.
  • Reinstall using a clean install.
